Climate Change Denier’s Own Study Changes His Mind

Climate Change Denier’s Own Study Changes His Mind

Professor Richard Muller, one of the US’ foremost climate change deniers, has finally changed his views on global warming thanks to a new study… his own. After conducting research on the subject, Muller says he has had a “total turnaround” and is no longer sceptical about the threats of greenhouse gases, according to The Guardian.

The results of Muller’s study, the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature or BEST project, showed that the land temperature has risen 2.5 degrees Fahrenheit in the past 250 years, with the majority of that occurring in the last 50 years alone. Even more damningly, the data suggests that the increase is due almost exclusively to human production of greenhouse gases.

Muller, a physicist, admits he was surprised by the findings, but will not deny climate change any more. “As scientists, it is our duty to let the evidence change our minds,” he said.

A large coal seam gas exploration permit has been granted over a large part of Brisbane’s Western suburbs.

The permit, known as EPP641 is owned by BNG Pty Ltd which is a subsidiary of the large CSG company, Arrow which is, in turn, owned 50-50 by the multi-national corporations, PetroChina and Shell.

Suburbs of Brisbane covered by the EPP include Moggill, Bellbowrie, Anstead, Pullenvale, Pinjarra Hills, Mount Crosby, Karana Downs and Brookfield and the tenement comes within a kilometre or so of Kenmore Village Shopping Centre.

Woolworths Mental Misinformed Marmalade

Woolworths Homebrand Marmalade

I present to you two bits of info:

  1. “Made in Belgium from imported and local ingredients”. We’re talking about marmalade for the Australian market. Belgium is on the other side of the planet! Furthermore, oranges do not grow in Belgium, it’s too cold. So that key ingredient is definitely imported there first (from either a Mediterranean country or South America). This marmalade has travelled far to get to you which is beyond daft, considering I can grow any citrus tree in my back yard.
  2. Ingredients tend to be listed in descending order of quantity. The first item listed is “glucose syrup” extracted from wheat. Fine, marmalade and jam have huge amounts of sugar. But then we see the next item, oranges 55%. The order implies that there is more than that percentage of glucose syrup in the jar, making well over 100% and not leaving any room for other ingredients either. Unlikely scenario.

My conclusion: mental Marmalade, Woollies. Bad show.
