As my friend Raymond Smith noted, they really were air-ships. While fundamentally different from aircraft, and of course the nature of travel has changed, I do think airlines have much to learn from how things were done back then.
In fact, I actually believe there’d be a market for airships now, travelling Australia but also other countries in relative luxury rather than speed.
